HomeBuilders Principles God Wants you to have consistently truthful and open communications with your spouse. Talk with a barriers between: How does it feel to talk with out being able to see the other person? How is that barrier like some of the other barriers that get between your communications? Make a Date: Do this As a couple first: ----------------------------------------- What funny thing has happened to you as a couple as a result of miscommunications? What TV cahractor would you compare youreslf to when it comes to communications? What do you like best about how your spouse communicates with you? ----------------------------------------- Individually: 1. What is one insight you've gained about communications within your marriage from this session? 2. What barriers do you and your spouse face in communications? 3. Take a test: Scripture on communications: Prov 18:13, He who answers before listening-- that is his folly and his shame. NIV James 1:18-20, 19. My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, 20 for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.
