After about a year of praying, searching, shortlisting, interviewing, and
consulting with keypeople, the IVCF Board of Trustees wishes to finally
announce the appointment of Mr. Rizaldy Harder as the next National
Director of the IVCF-Philippines.
Zaldy, as we fondly call him, has been an active member of the IVCF Board
for 4 years now and is currently the vice-chairman. He declined the
nomination twice early in the search. But the BOT sought to continually
widen the search, and Zaldy was asked again to reconsider. After a season
of prayer,he did accept to be a nominee intent to seek whatever is God's
perfect will for him. He was among the 12 persons initially invited by the
search committee for the position.
Thereafter, during the meeting of the IVCF-BOT last January 16, 2006, and
after corporately seeking God in prayer for guidance, the choice of the ND
for the movement was finally decided with a unanimous vote cast by the BOT
members for Zaldy. As per IVCF guidelines, a person may be elected to the
National Director position only by a unanimous vote of all the incumbent
BOT members.
The Board believes that Zaldy is the servant-leader that can continue to
provide the needed leadership to IVCF-Philippines after Ms. Elsie
Calalang's term ends on May 30, 2006. Zaldy recently made known to the
Board that he is accepting the call to be the next National Director with
calmness and full assurance of GOD's enabling grace and with dependence on
the LORD's power and wisdom. He will assume office on June 1, 2006 to give
time for Ms.Calalang to turn over the responsibilities to him.
At present, Zaldy is the President and Executive Director of LINK-UP!
Information Technologies, Inc., a software development and information
management consultancy company. He is married to Mary Jane Inocencio
(KC'79) and they are blessed with three children: Rian Angelo, Keia Joy
and Caroline.
Zaldy attended Kawayan Camp 1983 and graduated on the same year from
Central Philippine University in Iloilo City with a degree in B.S. in
Civil Engineering. He has a masteral degree in Development Management from
the University of the Philippines in the Visayas.
The Board encourages all IVCFers to pray for Zaldy and his family as he
prepares to heed GOD's call at such a crucial time in IVCF's history as
this.
