West Gallery, 100 Maryland Ave., SW, Washington, DC • 202/225-8333 Decorated especially for children, the West Gallery is the perfect location for a Christmas train display, courtesy of the Washington, Virginia and Maryland Garden Railway Society. Overshadowing the train is a Fraser fir full of stuffed animals with a bald eagle soaring at the top. The recently renovated Botanic Garden is an attraction in itself. The LOVE & RESPECT CONFERENCE for us was a fun weekend as Dr. June 5 Philippine Fair & Parade, a street ethnic festival showcasing the best in Philippine culture through performance of dance, music and art. The Fair focuses on exotic cuisine, handicrafts, and a cultural show, as well as a parade display of colorful costumes and vignettes amidst music and fanfare. Thousands of people participate and enjoy the day-long fair along Pennsylvania Ave., NW (between 3rd and 7th Streets), Washington, DC.
